hello my people.
WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!! yayyyyy! Seriously so exciting and boy was that hard to keep under wraps for so long. y’all know the first day I walked into the place I wanted to blog about it. haha. So it is official ours and we are pumped. But also exhausted out of our damn brains. Owning a house is a ton of work, how come no one told me that? jk. everyone and their mother did (annoying). So yeah basically I feel like we have purchased Lowes rather than our actual house with the amount of money we have forked over to them for different projects. ahhh home ownership. Did I mention we own a house. blahhhhh so excited. Ok so that is that and I can’t wait to start showing y’all some pictures, right now everything is a wreck with boxes and random furniture and piles of mulch. We are in the middle of painting, redoing floors, landscaping the front yard and building a deck..and doing shots of tequila simultaneously. While I am not ready to show y’all all the pictures I will give you a little teaser of the front porch railing Mark built because he is the bomb and I’m obsessed with it.
furnishing and decorating is a WHOLE different ball game. Again please someone beam down Joanna Gaines. Those before and after pictures will be posted in the next 5-7 years. But for the sake of the blog I will give you all a taste of our bedroom furniture makeover 🙂 The rest of the room is a work in progress but at least the furniture is handled. So we discovered this talented woman on Facebook when she had an older dresser and nightstand set for sale, well when we met her to see it we didn’t end up liking that specific one and she just so happened to have another set in her unit that she was wanting to refurbish. Basically Mark had the vision that I could not fully see and decided we go for the other set instead. So she customized the set down the little hardware pieces. Completely painted, waxed and sealed and done BEAUTIFULLY. My favorite pieces of furniture that I own for sure. so..
Moving on from that. It is November already. Every year this happens to me. August rolls around and I think hmm I better start getting some plans together for the holidays coming up and my husband says I’m crazy and “need to chill out because it’s like 6 months away” fast forward to October 31st and I barely have halloween costumes for the kids and I have done ZERO halloween activities. Ain’t seen a pumpkin patch in sight. Apple picking, hay rides, cooking pumpkin seeds – NOPE. If I don’t get a grip my kids won’t even get to go Trick or Treating. not really but I am so busy, can I be a stay at mom again? Why did I complain about it when It was happening, WHY LORD?!
My kids did go trick or treating and I ended up finding some AMAZING last minute costumes for them. So I definitely earned some cool mom points.
Queen of Harts & a little baby bumble bee
We loaded up the wagon and went out with some friends and trick or treated our butts off.
now…TIME FOR CHRISTMASSSSSS…yipeee!
We will be gearing up for some fall/winter getaways soon! Starting with a trip to Asheville, Woodstock, and Kentucky (of course) Also craving a camping trip. Like the good ol’ camping in the woods with a tent and putting hotdogs on a stick. The last one we went on was to Salt Springs a couple months ago. HAD A BLAST. Our camp lot was at the very end of the road with this big grassy field behind it and all the other campers kids played in the field while Creedance Clearwater Revival played on a radio and all the parents watched and drank beer around a fire. Classic american summer time. Anyway – fall and winter mini vacays coming in hot so stay tuned.
STRANGER THINGS. The latest and greatest season 2 has just premiered on Netflix and if you haven’t binge watched the entire season by now you’re a total wastoid. Here is a recap of why you should be watching it from last year. Get to watching!
AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Holy mother of politics and actual real life. This season is way too real. BY FAR my favorite season. I haven’t written any kind of obsessed review on this one because every season is different. This year is definitely the best and extremely realistic!
THIS IS US. duh. Best television show ever made. Read my thoughts on it here<
e have had some family in town per usual. So beach visits are a must. It has been so gorgeous down there lately. When we lived directly across from the beach, we went every night and walked but now that we are 3 miles (feels like 3 states) we don’t get to enjoy it as much.
