A staycation fit for a
king family of four. We are what seems like FOREVER on the road somewhere. We have family in lots of different states and have a craving for new adventures. After a busy couple of weekends on the go it was nice to just hang around town and relax.
We have teamed up with the Omni Amelia Island Resort for an epic family staycation and let me just tell you that this place is a dream. We loved every single thing about this resort, including the pools, service, room, and grounds. It really is a bit of paradise right here at home! As you can tell from the pictures, the girls were barely excited haha!
Working a 40 hour week and being able to drive 5 minutes up the street to a relaxing weekend was beyond wonderful. The Omni has a beautiful property with amenities GALORE and a swimming pool that is magnetic. We literally arrived in our suits and planted ourselves poolside for 4 hours before check in. (not a bad place to wait on your room for early check in)
The room was AMAZING. We stayed in a premium ocean front. It was very clean and the beds were super soft and fluffy and the pillows were like perfect clouds lol. I’m all about a comfy bed y’all. Our room was on the 7th floor and had a KILLER view.
We spent most of our time at the pool, which was nice because it has a super shallow section that the girls could splash around and play in, and Mark and I could watch them and play with them without having to hold them or worry about them being in too deep of water. Poolside lunch was served and was DELICIOUS. The service is excellent and the employees go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have what you need.
Oh and also Tanner the Turtle came out and had a RAD dance party with popsicles. #winninginmybook
Something else that I really love about the Omni Amelia Island Resort is the space that it allows for exploring. There are secret spots all over to wander and walk. The beach is just steps away down a private boardwalk and lined with big white cabanas! There is a super cute and fun Nature Center with birds, fish, turtles, and lots of fun info about the nature on Amelia Island!
FOOD. Obviously the most important for me. There is literally food everywhere you turn. From scrumptious in room dining service to poolside eats, restaurants over looking the ocean, a sports bar with epic nachos, a steakhouse, and last but definitely not least a DONUT WALL. I don’t know who the genius was who thought that one up but props to you friend.
Also you can ride the tram to all of these places! The tram will drive you to any restaurant, the fitness center, the tennis courts, the spa and shops and back to hotel!
If you have a trip coming up to Amelia Island or want to plan a staycation be sure to check out the Omni Amelia Island Resort! it is a gorgeous place! They have lots of fun seasonal packages!
As always – SAFE TRAVELS and get out there and adventure!
