This is one of my grandma’s classic dishes that we all always beg for when we are together!
Maple, bacon, brown sugar? Yes please 🙋🏼
4 cans of cut green beans
6 pieces of maple bacon
1/2 white onion
1/2 cup brown sugar
Place onion in bottom of pot
Pour in green beans (don’t drain)
Mix in brown sugar
Lay strips of bacon on top of mixture
Cook on low heat covered for an hour letting it simmer
Soon your house will smell of maple sugar deliciousness.
You can take out the onion and bacon or leave it in for flavor!
I always leave mine in.
You can make this on the stove or in the crock pot! Crockpot on low heat for up to 4 hours!
