A Perfect Nursery

I have baby fever again. Lord help us. So I wanted to do a post dedicated to baby nurseries and some decorating tips and inspiration! Some are Pinterest faves and some of my own girls rooms, and also a couple of friends with precious rooms.

I mean we live in the south. We don’t just have a room for the baby, we have an all out, monogrammed, matching, top of the line, best looking room in the house nursery! Only the best for our kids right πŸ™‚

Here are some Pinterest faves!

 Safari theme – LOVE

I love the exposed brick on this one! With the tassel banner makes it adorable!

Well this one and the safari theme are running a tight race because this one is so perfect for a boys room! I love the frames of mom and dad so precious!

 This one is not something I would picture when I think baby nursery, but how sweet is it! The loved sign is the best..and loving the black white & gold!

This decal is doing it for me, I love the airplane theme! I love everything about it- the font, the clouds, the airplane. It’s perfect!

Lets get to real life:

So starting out for my husband and I we both sort of brainstormed with each other about ideas and colors and themes we wanted for each daughter. We both got a vision and then took to Pinterest and that led us to Pottery Barn. While there are tons of great places to find nursery decor, Pottery Barn is just a fave for us. It’s so classic and really is precious what they do with their kids rooms. Antique stores & DIY projects can also make your babies room more personal! And a super fun time with you and your husband!

here is the before picture of Riley’s room:

Her nursery set is called “Harlington” from Pottery Barn Baby.

The white border was painted by my awesome hubs! The frames are Pottery Barn as well as the butterfly mobile in the corner.

The crib and two dressers are from JC Penney & the small side table is Pottery Barn.

The curtains and curtain hardware pictured below are Pottery Barn. The dresser pulls are small clear butterflies that we added also Pottery Barn. Rug is Pottery Barn.

The wooden letters are from Pottery Barn. The White frame is Pottery barn with a crib sheet cut to fit the frame. {we literally framed a crib sheet} adorable. The lamp base is pottery barn and the shade was plain white but we put the remainder crib sheet on it with fabric {voila! Matching lamp} the heart pictured below is believe it or not STYROFOAM! My husband got a large piece (from the crib box) cut the shape of a heart and then wrapped it with a crib sheet! {those crib sheets came in handy}

This room was and still is our pride and joy! Although we don’t live in that house anymore we redid it in our next house except now she has a big girl bed! Here is the big girl version:

 I wrapped the crib bumper around the front of the box spring, got a set of red sheets, a white comforter and used the ends of her crib as a headboard!

UPDATE* we had another baby.

Ella Bear! Lucky for us we had an awesome nursery set to pass on. So we got creative! We bought a white headboard for Riley & a white dresser! Ella got the crib and the changing table and the small side table!

Ella’s room:

We used {you guessed it} Pottery Barn Baby again 😍

Hubs was at it again with his white borders πŸ™‚ frames were a thrift store SCORE! Spray painted to match!

Lamp belonged to my grandmother. We scored on that one too because it’s a Tiffany lamp! The rug is from Tuesday Morning!

Not pictured is wooden letters from Walmart {spray painted to match}, a couple small shelves {thrift store find} & some family artwork in white frames πŸ’œ

Truly the best looking rooms in the house! Precious rooms for precious girls!

Now I want to show some friend favorites! Because they are amazing!

First is Mr. William Hudson Ritch –  adorable room for even more adorable baby boy!

 Good work Savannah & Adam πŸ™ŒπŸ½

First of all the Nautical theme is everything. So obsessed. The accent wall, the colors and the decor is perfect for a southern, coastal baby room!

The crib and the dresser is from Burlington, the crib bedding is from TARGET {love} !!

The decor items are antique pieces and amazing pieces they found at different shops! The adorable “Hudson” sign was made by a close friend!

The glider {nursery essential} is from Amazon!

Next is literally the definition of precious.

Little Miss Mila Moore. The perfect neutral but elegant baby girl nursery.

Chasta & Brett need more babies so they can decorate more baby nurseries πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Milas crib, bedding & changing table came from Restoration Hardware Baby. The sign above the crib was a sign inspired by the show Fixer Upper {we love you chip & Jo!} they had a family member paint it for them! So personal and so sweet! The chair is from Walmart! {awesome Walmart find}

Most of the rest of the decor are favorite antique pieces spray painted to match and the curtains are a lace material from Jo Anne’s Fabric!

Nothing like fresh flowers in a mason jar! Southern perfection!

My FAVORITE part of this room you guys {prepare yourself for melting heart}

the chandelier pictured was a gift given to them by their photographer Susan Scarborough with Smitten Images, it’s the same chandelier they danced under at their wedding for their first dance together.

{I know. I’m dying.}

Her photographs were done by Susan Scarborough {Smitten Images} who also shot their wedding!

Hopefully those aren’t the last nurseries we see from @chasta_moore & @snblair πŸ™‚
