We live right across from the beach and never go! I have to start soaking in the sunshine in the mornings! Mark went for a beach jog this morning and brought back I’m not kidding you an entire tree. Like a huge log and dropped it in the front yard. “Firewood” he says. Good luck with that babe.

And on that note our banana trees are coming right along !

So with all the cooking I’ve been doing lately I can confidently say that I handle Publix like a boss when I go grocery shopping so god forbid anything like this happen:

I’m crying laughing.

So Saturday we went to St. Augustine, one of our fave places! We spent the day doing basically our favorite thing- thrift shopping. First we went to the St. Augustine flea market. So fun and lots of good finds, my brother and his girlfriend are moving and redecorating their new place with tons of refurbished furniture {shabby chic} you know! The adorable stuff! Then we stopped at a thrift store by the beach and just so happened to walk into an awesome pawn shop right next door. But it wasn’t like any pawn shop I’ve been too! It was set up like a regular retail store, very cool hipster vibe. Lots of vintage items that we were drooling over! After that we went to our fave thrift store The St. Vincent De Paul! Best ever for everything! I scored a new summer dress and a coffee pot (mine cracked). Mark got a super cute t shirt and a golf towel! Dad scored an awesome long sleeve salty dog Tee!

For lunch- we had Mojo Old City BBQ. Ohhhh man. We have been there a few times before but man it never ceases to amaze us πŸ™‚ delicious BBQ and excellent service! I got the mojo club. With smoked turkey, pulled pork, lettuce, bacon, cheese, tomato, add some mustard and sweet sauce and man oh man. Heaven. Mark had the brisket Reuben and basically licked his plate clean. The kids meals are awesome too! Huge portions and great veggie side options!

Kentucky derby is coming up in my Kentucky home and the shrimp festival is coming up in my Amelia Island home! The Kentucky Derby is far more exciting obviously. I wish I was going to be there this year!! The Shrimp Fest will have to do though πŸ™‚ who can turn down fresh squeezed lemonade and an extra powdery funnel cake?! Not me! Oh and shrimp everywhere of course!

Adventures of Riley & Ella:
Story time with Riley and animal gang! πŸ€“πŸ“šβ€οΈ

Ella removing all the contents of my wallet. All of it. πŸ˜‘πŸ˜³

And this is Riley picking up Ella and running into the living room and pile driving her onto the couch πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ don’t worry..it’s one of Ella’s favorite things!! #sisterlove

I only have one recipe this post 🍴:

Mini Taco Bowls {this my own Pinterest inspired}

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb Ground Beef

1 packet Taco Seasoning

1 can black olives

12 Flour Tortillas

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Shredded lettuce

Salsa

DIRECTIONS:

brown ground beef

Add 1/4 cup water and taco seasoning and cook over medium heat until water is absorbed.

Reduce heat to low.

Heat each flour tortilla in microwave for 30 seconds to soften.

Using a 3 inch cutter (like a jar lid) cut 2 circles from each tortilla.

Press each cicle into the cup of a mini muffin pan, fold ing sides as needed.

Place in 350 oven for about 12 minutes (until tortilla is crispy).

Place each shell on cooling rack and fill with taco meat.

Top with cheese, chopped black olives, salsa, lettuce and a leaf of cilantro (optional).

And we grilled delish steaks on Sunday – our only recipe secret here is Dales. Dales for life. I’m pretty sure Mark drinks it out of the bottle while he grills πŸ˜‚

Oh and check out these notecards from Target! In the dollar section! 🌱🌡🌿🌸
