Summer is upon us ☀️

Every single damn morning.

Mumbling to myself while my eyes are cracked open

“how long have you been there”

riley- “can I have a pop tart?!”

me- “no! Get the hell back in the bed ya freak” — just kidding. (But I was thinking it)

So last weekend we had a little kid free day and went down to Salt Springs and had a BLAST! We went with my brother and his girlfriend and my dad! Everyone in my family is all about a good adventure and lots of exploration along the way so not only did we go to the springs..we took all the back roads, drove into the woods and followed dirt tracks, explored some old empty plantation house, stopped at only the oldest coolest looking stores/gas pumps, went on a ferry that we pulled up to flashed our headlights twice and it came and got us, like in the middle of nowhere lol.  It was a blast!

Lawwwwwd I’m so tired. It’s like I can’t drink enough coffee. These damn kids is exhausting me y’all.

This morning I gave Ella one of little squeeze pouches of like raspberry banana something and I set it down right beside me..well here comes Ella climbing all over me and starts squeezing the pouch all over the couch. So now there is red apple sauce all over my light light beige couch. Great. I put about 45 coats of scotchguard on it, THANK GOD. It came out. Then a few hours later after lunch I take the girls to get an ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. We walk in and Riley drops her chocolate ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles in the middle of the rug. Flat on top of the ice cream part. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑

I have become obsessed with plants! Mostly succulents but I’m loving all types! I’ve started collecting on my front porch and it’s all so cute! My dad and I planted a whole row of banana plants next to the house so we will see how that turns out. He also got me an adorable little hanging succulent that I LOVE.

Holy hell I went to target today with the kids to get a bathing suit for myself. And I was ready to pull every single one of my hairs out when I left there. Ella pooped and it got all over her pants. Riley went on some sort of psychotic sugar frenzy and started jumping off the bench in the dressing room. Then grabbed my phone and Ella and did a dressing room photoshoot. All while yelling at the top of her lungs “ELLA COME HERE, ELLA LOOK RIGHT HERE, ELLLLLAAAAA!”

I’m like trying to whisper in the scariest voice I can do while whispering.

My life.

And yeah also why the F is it so hard to find a good fitting bathing suit. Like bathing suit tops are a joke if you have big boobs. Found one though..at target. And TJ MAXX. I also got the high waisted black bottoms from target And they are amazing. Especially for my mom bod. I mean my…hard 6 pack I have. Solid.

Ok recipes playas

So first is pan fried pork chops! Nothing fancy and very simple and I really don’t have a set recipe for it. So I’ll just throw out every I do.  {this is a collaboration of mine}

I use the THIN sliced pork chops. And I season them up with some lawrys, garlic powder & lemon pepper. Every time. Throw them in the pan with some olive oil and fry those babies until they are browned! Keep the heat going! Continue to flip them until cooked through! Yum. I don’t have a picture for those though! Ill update next time we have them, which is usually once a week.

next is

Turkey Salsbury Steaks and roasted potatoes  {This recipe is from pinterest}

Ingredients-
1 lb. ground turkey
1 cup diced onion – divided
3 – 4 tablespoons minced parsley (can be omitted)
¾ cup panko or breadcrumbs
salt and pepper
½ cup milk -divided use                     1 can cream of mushroom                  1 can  Campbell’s golden mushroom
¼ cup water

Instructions-
Put the ground turkey, ½ cup onion, parsley, panko, salt, pepper and ¼ cup milk in a bowl. Mix until thoroughly incorporated. Divide into 4 pieces. Pat out into an oblong pattie.
Spray a pan with cooking spray. Brown both sides of the patties over medium heat. Add the onions when you flip the patties over. Allow to brown a little.
When both sides of the patties are browned add ¼ cup of water and then the Campbell’s Soups. Cover and cook for 10 – 12 more minutes over medium heat. Just before you take the pan off of the heat, stir in the remaining milk.

for my potatoes I just used a pack of new potatoes (the little baby potatoes) this particular one had colored potatoes in them. I cut them in half, toss them in olive oil, seasoned with garlic powder, salt & pepper and lawrys. Threw them in the oven on 425 degrees for about 15 – 20 minutes. Checking periodically!

Riley is graduating VPK in a month. 😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭

It literally happens in the blink of an eye. Her graduation ceremony theme is “Hollywood awards show” so she has to wear a Hollywood style ball gown. I’m pumped. Girlfriend is going to be looking fabulous!

I do have baby fever a little tiny bit. Just a bit. Like it keeps flittering in and out of my mind!
