Yo yo yo 🙋

So my life with my babies are all about a schedule and routine. It is the key to success. Moms you know what I’m talkin about! I get up every morning during the week and get the girls ready, feed Ella and take Riley to school. By the time I get back Ella is super sleepy again and ready for her nap. So I put her down for her nap and I make my morning coffee, sit in my lazy boy, and blissfully watch the Today show & catch up on The Tonight Show! It’s my 1-2 hours of adult/outside world/non animated time.

so I know I’m a little behind on this, and I was going to post this in a couple posts back but I forgot. but can we please talk about Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton. Im dead. I really can’t stand new country. I really don’t like any of the newer artist. Sorry not trying to be a Debbie downer, but it sucks. But oh my gosh. This Chris Stapleton guy is KILLING IT. Killing it. Killing everyone. I am loving him. I mean Justin has been killing it, we all know that. Here’s the video so you can listen to it on repeat all day long like me 😻😻

In the car today and Beastie Boys – No sleep till Brooklyn comes on the radio. I literally turn it up as loud as it goes and just JAMMED out. With the kids in the car. I just felt like that was theme song to my life right now. Like “NO. SLEEP. TILL BROOKLYN!!!!!….BROOKLYN!!!”

But for me it’s more like “NO. SLEEP. TILL THEY’RE 18!!!!….18!!!”


So everyday I decide to pursue a different career. One day I’m going to learn Photography. One day I’m going to do makeup for a living. One day I’m going back to school. One day I’m going back to the hospitality industry. In the end really I’m just a mom. That’s the biggest job right now. I’ll figure out the rest. I guess…lol

so a little recipe from my grandma that she made a couple times while she was here. No name for them really but we will call them Christmas Beans. Only because I made them for dinner one night and one of marks friends was eating with us. He said the green beans taste like Christmas. Lol sooo we will go with that.

Christmas Beans-

2 cans cut green beans (I use Italian style cut green beans)

1 package of maple bacon thick cut

1 heaping tablespoon of brown sugar

1/2 onion

get a large pot and first add the half onion to bottom of pot. Then pour both cans of green beans over onion. Then add brown sugar. Get boiling. Next layer maple bacon over top of the green beans. Should be covering like a blanket. {A bacon blanket, yes please.} turn the heat down just a bit but still boiling and put a lid on it. Let cook for about 45 minutes. Continue to check, make sure green beans are not burning. Test beans under bacon, and add more brown sugar to your liking. Two choices for the end. You can either take off all the bacon and toss it, and remove the onion. Or mix it all together, letting the bacon and onion break into pieces. I prefer to mix it all together. It’s heaven either. It’s like Christmas really!


This is so very true. I am constantly in comfy clothes. Like always. Not like Victoria’s Secret Pink sweat pants with like a push-up bra and a tank top. We’re talking full on Walmart granny “night shirts” and if I have to go outside I’ll pull on leopard print pajama capris. But usually just the night shirt/dress. Hair is tied up into a rolled bun on top of my head with frizzed curls flying off the sides. No makeup, looking like the walking dead.

But…I went to Ulta yesterday and got new makeup and now I’m literally a makeup artist. Here’s some of my latest work.

So we watched the FOOD, inc. documentary on Netflix the other night. woah. my life is changed forever. I will literally never look at food the same again.  I will start buying my produce and meats much differently now. Meat markets, farmers markets, organic grocery stores will soon be my best friend I can promise you! Great documentary to watch!

Also anyone who is close to me at all knows that I feel strongly about breastfeeding. The documentary Breastmilk on Netflix is very very interesting and pretty informative actually. Regardless of how you want to feed your baby it is a good one to watch. New moms, pregnant women, or woman with older children will enjoy this one! Breastfeeding is tough. VERY tough. It takes patience. I encourage woman to atleast TRY to breastfeed their babies. Even the first month or 2 weeks is so important for the nutrition they will get! Ultimately though making sure your baby is healthy is number one! #normalizebreastfeeding

The above posts are making me sound like suuuuuch a GRANOLA mom. hahaha. I didn’t know that I would be this way about things. But lately I have decided to educate myself on decisions I make about my family. so yeah that’s that. moving on.

last night I made lasagna roll ups. omg so good. and seriously sooo much fun to make!

Lasagna Roll Ups

Ingredients –

  • 1 lb Ground beef, Lean
  • 1 1/2 tsp Basil, dried
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Onion
  • 4 tbsp Parsley, fresh
  • 1 (15 oz) can Tomatoes
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 (16 oz) can Tomato sauce
  • 1 Lasagna noodles
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper, ground
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 Mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan reggiano
  • 16 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Water
  1. In a large sauce pan on medium heat start browning your meat.
  2. On medium heat in a separate pan with the Tbsp of olive oil start to cook the onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, and basil for about 6-8 minutes, or until onion is translucent. Add this to the meat mixture, along with the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, black pepper, and 2 tbsp of the fresh parsley. Allow to simmer uncovered for 1 hour. – I simmered for about 35 minutes.
  3. Bring a large pot of water to boil and begin cook the lasagna noodles for 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  4. In a small mixing bowl combine remaining parsley, ricotta cheese, egg, ½ tsp salt and mix well.
  5. Heat oven to 375. Pour some meat sauce into the bottom of a 9 x 13 glass baking dish.
  6. To make the roll ups place a noodle onto a flat surface and spread with the cheese mixture. Then sprinkle a little parmesan reggiano cheese on the cheese mixture.
  7. Then roll them up!
  8. Once you have all of the lasagna roll ups lined into the dish, cover each with a little more of the meat mixture. Top with a slice of mozzarella cheese and then cover the dish with foil. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes uncovered. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.


so very good!
